Old-fashioned hotel in an excellent area not far from garden with a beer on a sunny afternoon, Scotland and the shore. Spacious & fine room, with an electric kettle, an iron and ironing board, and a work desk. Comfortable bed. Very friendly, excellent people working here.

The esplanade hotel is really comfy and has a traditional vibe. My standard single room was clean and super cozy, and i loved hanging out in the upstairs lounges. The outdoor seating was nice too! Staff were friendly and always ready to help when i needed something.

the water in my shower wasn't hot enough at times and i think the decor could use a refresh.

My room was difficult to access due to lack of clear signage. The shower pressure was disappointingly low. I also found that the breakfast options were limited, and I was left unsatisfied each morning.

The staff were helpful and attentive like every time I needed something they were right there. Breakfast tailored to taste was a nice touch I had poached eggs on brown toast both mornings it was spot on.

It wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable for the experience.

Couldn't recommend more for a short visit.

Great room but staff could improve

Had a decent 7 nights in a quiet room with a comfy bed and clean bath. The view from the lounge was nice, but the service was pretty off. The receptionist was a tad rude. Dinner options were okay, but I wish they'd offered more. Parking was easy, though!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel as it was only about 500 meters from Dunoon Burgh Hall, making it easy to stroll in for a visit, and the fantastic views overlooking the bay were great.

Fantastic views right from the terrace and super cozy lounge. Loved the local vibe. Perfect for walks along the esplanade. The weekend entertainment killed it, especially the themed night.

The Standard Single Room was cozy and clean. I really liked the bed-it was super comfortable! The heating was nice since the weather was chilly outside. Plus, I had a beautiful view over the loch, made waking up special. Just a heads up, the shower pressure was a bit low, and the decor felt a little dated. But overall, the room was a nice spot to unwind after exploring Dunoon.
